We are an immigration service firm, but before becoming “service providers,” we were immigrants ourselves.

Our founder, Attorney Liu, originally came to the U.S. with her family through the EB-5 investor immigration program. She was expected to receive her green card as a derivative child under her parents’ application. However, due to delays and changes in immigration policy, she “aged out” during the waiting period and lost her eligibility. Her status reset to zero, and she had no choice but to continue her journey through an international student visa.

 

From that moment, she understood—immigration is never “just a green card.”
It’s about whether a child can stay in school,
Whether a family can stay together,
Whether a person can find stability and direction in a foreign land.

Because of these personal experiences, Attorney Liu pursued immigration law after graduating from law school. Throughout her career, she has worked with many families just like hers:
Families who missed school opportunities due to green card delays;
Those who lost their chance to adjust status due to policy misunderstandings;
Clients who paid large sums to consultants but were denied due to poor documentation;
And many who clearly met requirements but lacked the tools to express it in front of USCIS.

Endlessly refreshing the USCIS site at 3 a.m.,

We understand these emotions—because we’ve lived through them.

That’s why Attorney Liu and her legal team founded Ruifeng Immigration.
We don’t want to be just another paperwork agency.

The name “Ruifeng” comes from the Chinese phrase for “prosperity and peace.”
It represents the hope we want to bring to each family we serve.
